Review: WeeLittleCrafts Mini Woodland Animal Set

Aren’t I great at long titles? XD

Most of you know that my sister has an Etsy shop! If you don’t then you can check it out by clicking on that yellow word way back there that is getting farther and farther away as I type. 😛

Anyway, I wanted to do a review on one of her things! Since I’m her sister and all, I just took the pictures and gave it back. 🙂 It’s available in her shop. (At least it is as I type!)

I will start with the packaging. It will come in little baggies (one for the stump, one for the animals) with her logo on the top. Here’s a photo. 🙂

First, lets do the stump. Hehe!

The stump is named Bernie. XD Everything in Allison’s shop (well, not the jewelry) has a name!

It has a marbled top which has a spiral cut into it.

There are three cute little knobs on the bark of the stump. She gave them a realistic effect by making the top of them different colored; it even has a teensy spiral! The bark is also textured with lines.

DSCN1298 (1280x960).jpgHere it is in comparison to my hand.

It actually isn’t pure polymer clay-it has a center of tin foil which makes it much lighter to hold.

Here is a photo of the bottom of the stump. It has a small hole at the bottom. 🙂

Now. Moving on to the animals! Let’s start with Heather, the hedgehog. Here is Allison’s description on her Etsy shop:

Heather the hedgehog loves meadows and flowers and beautiful things. Her body is ever so slightly marbled, but she, to her everlasting sorrow, does not sparkle. Heather is quite the petite hedgehog – she is only 1 centimeter high.

Her face is terribly cute, just look at it! 😀

DSCN1260 (1280x960)

The brown part of her body is lined to look more – uh – spikey! 😀

DSCN1261 (1280x960)

Look at her cute lil’ feet! Agh! 🙂 And there’s that adorable smile!

DSCN1264 (1280x960)

Moving on to the rabbit…

Here is Harold’s description:

Harold the rabbit is a very perky little guy, but also quite cautious, being a bunny. He is made with stone-texture polymer clay to give him a more realistic fur effect. The clay has a slight sparkle. He measures approximately 3.5 centimeters from his cottontail to the tip of his raised ear.

Look at his ears! Aren’t they just adorable? And his nose! Eeee!

DSCN1267 (1280x960)

If you lay him down you can see that he has two smaller feet in the front and two longer feet in the back – just like a real rabbit! You can see his tail here to.

DSCN1278 (1280x960)

Here is the back of him. See how speckled he is? And his tail! o_O XD

DSCN1277 (1280x960)

The last critter is the squirrel, Charlie.

Charlie the squirrel loves to eat – acorns are his favorite. Charlie is also made with stone-texture polymer clay, and he too has a bit of a sparkle about him. He stands about 2 centimeters tall.

DSCN1286 (1280x960)

Charlie’s small paws rest on his white belly. You can see a bit of his feet also.

DSCN1284 (1280x960)

From the top his tail looks just as big as his body is! His fur is similar to Harold’s, just a bit grayer and has more shimmer.

DSCN1290 (1280x960)

Here are his feet and where the tail attaches.

If you were wondering about the size of these critters, here they all are perched quite comfortably on my palm.

One last photo (I guess it’s kind of a collage) of them on the stump. Bernie has his limits; even he, big and strong as he is, can’t fit all of the animals very well. They prefer two on the stump and one beside him. 🙂

Wow, this is a long post! If I have convinced you to buy it, go HERE. I guess I’ll only be able to convince one person though- there is only one of this cute set!

Here is a collage of some other things. She took the photos of them though. 😉 Find them on her store here!

Don’t forget that today is the last day to enter for BIBPC! 😀

K.A. and I made a coloring contest!  The coloring pages are due by the same day as the BIBPC photos are, so you could post both of them at once. 😉 Read about it on the post HERE!

  2. Great review, Megan! Allison is very talented at using clay, it really amazes me! A friend of mine actually had a clay etsy shop as well. I love how she has her logo on the bag, it’s super cute! I’ve been wanted to get my logo maybe put on some bags for my shop as well. 🙂 Wow, three sales already, that’s amazing and I’m very happy for her! Oh and I thought that I’d let you know that my 5 year old brother loves the hedgehog that she made! 😉 He was looking over my shoulder while I was reading this and he kept on saying ” Aw, look at the cute little hedgehog! ” He took my phone and showed it to everyone in the room and still just wants to sit here and look at it, haha! I most agree with him that it is pretty adorable!
