Clay Inchworms

Some of you probably know that I enjoy making things out of polymer clay. 🙂 One of the first things I made was and inchworm with a top hat. Then I decided to make another! And another, and another…

Anyway! I decided to share some of them with you. They are posted in order, so this one below is the first one I made. I’m afraid he’s rather linty… XD

Here’s the second one! 😀

-Megan(snow, sleeping bag, Duke, clay stuff) 087

And the third… XD It’s a little hard to tell what this is, but she’s, as my little sister says, Worm Elsa! 😛

-Megan(snow, sleeping bag, Duke, clay stuff) 092.JPG

Here is the Book Worm. Hehe!

-Megan(snow, sleeping bag, Duke, clay stuff) 099

I have many more. Let’s see, I have a baby inchworm, twin inchworms, an inchworm walking his pet snail, and a few others! 😀 But since I haven’t taken pictures of them yet, you’ll have to do with these four. 😉

Do you want to see more clay inchworms?

You can be thankful I made an inchworm, otherwise you wouldn’t have Inchy B! XD

The Adventures of Inchy B {Pt. 3}

YAY! PART THREE! XD In my giveaway lots of people said that Inchy’s photo story was their favorite post, so with out further ado (ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado ado  there, done) I present you part three!

(See the other parts here)

Inchy B had come a long way. A piece of her had gotten pinched off in the door, she had gotten covered in lint, and she was very weary. But as she inched on she noticed that the ground ahead was white. Itchy had said that it would be white when she reached The Land of Your Other Self.

She walked closer and slowly inched onto the white tile.

“One little step for Inchworm, one giant step for Inchwormkind,” she murmured.

At last she, Inchy B, was completely on the tile. She forgot all her aches and pains and weariness and became overjoyed. Soon she would meet her Other Self!

She looked ahead and saw a big white something. It didn’t look very safe so she veered over into another track.

This track took her to a light green shaggy substance.

Grass! She thought, as she heaved herself up.

As she inched across the ‘grass’ she felt terribly small. And she was. Her little green self was barely noticeable!

Once off the ‘grass’ Inch B noticed a brown chunk of wood.

“Why hello, Mr. Brown Chunk of Wood!” she called out cheerfully, “would you mind telling me how to get to my Other Self?”

Mr. Brown Chunk of Wood did not answer. Inchy B was certain that if she got on top of Mr. Brown Chunk of Wood (let’s call him Mr. BCW) she could find her Other Self.

Sadly for her, it was rather hard to get up Mr. BCW. He had many corners and was rather tall. She was so disappointed in Mr. BCW that she wept mournfully for a whole second before drying her eyes. She didn’t really need to dry her eyes though, because eye that have been poked on to worms do not get tears in.

After tossing her imaginary handkerchief to the imaginary wind, Inchy B discovered a Mr. Black Piece of Plastic (Mr. BPP) who was much more considerate than the Chunk. She easily scaled his sides and crept up to the top.

Unfortunately, Mr. BPP was not touching Mr. BCW. Inchy gathered all of her courage up and held a conference with it. She didn’t have many courages but they were willing enough and she bridged the gap. Clay is a bit sticky, so her front stuck successfully to Mr. BCW.

She dragged her whole body onto the Chunk and made her way up, up to her Other Self.

YAY FOR INCHY!! XD What part was the funniest so far? 😀

Enjoy the rest of your day!

We made a little waterfall in our ‘creek’ the other day and my brothers and I even made a water wheel that spins in it! I’ll show you a picture sometime. 🙂

The Adventures of Inchy B {Part 2}

*crowd cheering* YAY! PART TWO! Heh. heh.

Onto the story! If you haven’t read the first part, then go find it. Just kidding. 😛 Click HERE.  Allison didn’t preview this post, so there may be typos! Hehe!

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 091 (1280x960)

After a long, hard, journey, Inchy B had finally reached Mt. Cellophane. It was so beautiful Inchy B could have cried. But she didn’t, because she was clay. Plus, water would probably do something drastic to her complexion.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 092 (1280x960)

She was exploring the colors when she found something that made her gasp.

“It’s my mother-color!” she said, her voice catching as she looked lovingly at her mother-color. It was named ‘516’.

“I will never forget you, 516,” Inchy told it.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 093 (1280x960)

She explored for a bit and then found a piece of blue clay that was already smooth! She was about to take it when she remembered something Itchy had said.

“If something’s already made, leave it be,” those were Itchy’s solemn words.

Itchy sighed. She went back to the mountain and grabbed a blob of purple. Then she trotted back to Itchy.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 094 (1280x960)

They journey was shorter this time, and it only took three minutes instead of four. Itchy was relieved to see that Inchy B had gotten back with only a little bit of lint added to her.

“But hun, that’s no accessory! That’s what we call a ‘Shapeless Blob’,” Itchy informed her.

“I was thinking you might… perhaps… help me think of something?” Inchy B asked hopefully.

“Darlin’,” Itchy said, “Have you noticed that I’m a little tough and hard? It’s because I don’t have Creative Juices. I just don’t,” she looked mournfully into Inchy B’s eyes.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 095 (1280x960)

Thankfully, Inchy B did have Creative Juices. She got her Shapeless Blob and rolled it out into a thin log-shaped piece. Then in trade for getting the scratchy tool for Itchy, she got help for getting the log (which was a belt) around her middle.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 097 (1280x960)

“I have an Accessory!” Inchy B cried.

Itchy groaned some approveals while scratching, “the perfect (oooohhh) color for, (aahhhh) you,” she said.

“But alas, I can not see myself!” Inchy B mourned.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 098 (1280x960).jpg

Itchy rose and pointed to another direction.

“The Land of Your Other Self,” she said, “that is where you must go.”

Inchy B looked to see where she was pointing.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 099 (1280x960)

There was a doorway with a suspicious looking horse head peeking out of it.

“I know you can make it, dearie. Take courage!” Itchy said, looking fondly at the little inchworm.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 100 (1280x960)

“I’ll buy you a postcard!” Inchy yelled as she started on another (much longer) journey.

😀 🙂 😛 XD o_O

I hope one of those smiley faces describes how you like it. 😀

By the way,  I feel much better. 🙂 Thank you so much for all your kind comments! I hope I didn’t spread it to anyone…. *chews fingernails* XD

I have a errand for you. 😐 :\ Yes, an errand. o_O IF you want, you can go explore my old posts and look for one you would like me to put in my next Post from the Ancient Times. 😮 😥 Why the sad faces? Because I’m sure I made you worried, didn’t I? 😦 ^^’

The Adventures of Inchy B {Pt. 1}

The main character will be a polymer clay inchworm. I hope you enjoy part one! 😀

At the very start it could only feel. It felt itself being squished by strong fingers, rolled between two sweaty palms, and bent into some shape.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 083.JPG

And then it could see. There were two pokes and the world – or at least the room it was in – showed up, just like it was opening its eyes after a good night’s sleep.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 084.JPG

It wanted to move around, but it was scared at the thing in front of it. A-a ‘A Human. A she human,’ something inside of it said. The Human slashed a knife across its back, making segments. This strangely didn’t even hardly feel.

When the Human left it saw a creature with polka dots behind it. It inched over to the creature. Then it heard something. Hearing was an odd experience, not at all easy to explain. The sound echoed around inside of its head.

“He…llo…there…” this is what the sound said. It came from the polka dotted creature. Then there was more sound, this time very clear. The creature said this while rubbing itself on the ground.

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 086.JPG

“Can you hear me? Who are you? Can you talk, dear?” Another voice spoke in it’s head, “Mouth, mouth!” But what was a mouth?

“H-hi,” it jumped at the sound of its voice. But then it sprung forward with great energy.

“I don’t think I have a name, and I’ve never seen my self. Are you an inchworm? Something inside me says you are. This is talking, right? Yeah, I  can talk. It’s so much fun! What is your name?”

“First, dear, please give me something to scratch on, then I’ll explain.” It crawled off the tile it was on to look for a ‘something.’

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 087.JPG

As it dragged it back up on the tile the inchworm answered some questions.

“My name is Miss Itchworm, but I’d love it if you could just call me Itchy. And yes, you were talking there, very good, hun! Now, we must get you a name.”

It dragged the tool up to Itchy.

“Couldn’t I be named Inchy? Am I an Inchworm?”

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 089.JPG

“Ahh, much better, thanks girl! No, Inchy is too much like Itchy. I have it! How ’bout… Inchy B?” Itchy seemed very proud of herself for figuring out a name.

“That would be great. Thank you ma’am. But I want spots like you!”

“Spots like me? No dear, you do not want these spots. I know the Human did a bad job of it, but these rascals are chicken pox. Rather itchy. But if you want, you can make yourself an Accessory,” she acted as if an Accessory was something very special and Inchy B immediately wanted one.

“Oh please, Miss Itchy! Please may I have one?”

Itchy rose solemnly and looked over the horizon. She stared straight ahead and told Inchy B, “It’s Mt. Cellophane. You must go there, Inchy B. There are many colors from which Accessories may be made. But the journey will be hard, very hard.”

Megan (inchworm, coloring page,) 090.JPG

“I want to go,” replied Inchy B just as solemnly.

You were supposed to read Itchy and Inchy B’s last statements very solemnly. XD

This is so fun! 🙂 Did you enjoy it?! 😀 Itchy was supposed to be a guy first, but I decided she seemed more like a Miss. 🙂

Here is day two of the Quote Challenge! I LOVE THIS QUOTE! XD I guess it’s a quote.. anyway! I got it from the first nominee! You can see her blog by clicking on her name. 😉

“What if I fall?”

“Oh but my darling, what if you fly?”

Bye!! 😀

Review: WeeLittleCrafts Mini Woodland Animal Set

Aren’t I great at long titles? XD

Most of you know that my sister has an Etsy shop! If you don’t then you can check it out by clicking on that yellow word way back there that is getting farther and farther away as I type. 😛

Anyway, I wanted to do a review on one of her things! Since I’m her sister and all, I just took the pictures and gave it back. 🙂 It’s available in her shop. (At least it is as I type!)

I will start with the packaging. It will come in little baggies (one for the stump, one for the animals) with her logo on the top. Here’s a photo. 🙂

First, lets do the stump. Hehe!

DSCN1291 (1280x960).jpg

The stump is named Bernie. XD Everything in Allison’s shop (well, not the jewelry) has a name!

It has a marbled top which has a spiral cut into it.

DSCN1294 (1280x960).jpg

There are three cute little knobs on the bark of the stump. She gave them a realistic effect by making the top of them different colored; it even has a teensy spiral! The bark is also textured with lines.

DSCN1298 (1280x960).jpgHere it is in comparison to my hand.

DSCN1292 (1280x960)

It actually isn’t pure polymer clay-it has a center of tin foil which makes it much lighter to hold.

Here is a photo of the bottom of the stump. It has a small hole at the bottom. 🙂

DSCN1302 (1280x960).jpg

Now. Moving on to the animals! Let’s start with Heather, the hedgehog. Here is Allison’s description on her Etsy shop:

Heather the hedgehog loves meadows and flowers and beautiful things. Her body is ever so slightly marbled, but she, to her everlasting sorrow, does not sparkle. Heather is quite the petite hedgehog – she is only 1 centimeter high.

DSCN1258 (1280x960).jpg

Her face is terribly cute, just look at it! 😀

DSCN1260 (1280x960)

The brown part of her body is lined to look more – uh – spikey! 😀

DSCN1261 (1280x960)

Look at her cute lil’ feet! Agh! 🙂 And there’s that adorable smile!

DSCN1264 (1280x960)

Moving on to the rabbit…

Here is Harold’s description:

Harold the rabbit is a very perky little guy, but also quite cautious, being a bunny. He is made with stone-texture polymer clay to give him a more realistic fur effect. The clay has a slight sparkle. He measures approximately 3.5 centimeters from his cottontail to the tip of his raised ear.

Look at his ears! Aren’t they just adorable? And his nose! Eeee!

DSCN1267 (1280x960)

If you lay him down you can see that he has two smaller feet in the front and two longer feet in the back – just like a real rabbit! You can see his tail here to.

DSCN1278 (1280x960)

Here is the back of him. See how speckled he is? And his tail! o_O XD

DSCN1277 (1280x960)

The last critter is the squirrel, Charlie.

Charlie the squirrel loves to eat – acorns are his favorite. Charlie is also made with stone-texture polymer clay, and he too has a bit of a sparkle about him. He stands about 2 centimeters tall.

DSCN1286 (1280x960)

Charlie’s small paws rest on his white belly. You can see a bit of his feet also.

DSCN1284 (1280x960)

From the top his tail looks just as big as his body is! His fur is similar to Harold’s, just a bit grayer and has more shimmer.

DSCN1290 (1280x960)

Here are his feet and where the tail attaches.

DSCN1285 (1280x960)

If you were wondering about the size of these critters, here they all are perched quite comfortably on my palm.

DSCN1256 (1280x960)

One last photo (I guess it’s kind of a collage) of them on the stump. Bernie has his limits; even he, big and strong as he is, can’t fit all of the animals very well. They prefer two on the stump and one beside him. 🙂

Wow, this is a long post! If I have convinced you to buy it, go HERE. I guess I’ll only be able to convince one person though- there is only one of this cute set!

Here is a collage of some other things. She took the photos of them though. 😉 Find them on her store here!

Don’t forget that today is the last day to enter for BIBPC! 😀

K.A. and I made a coloring contest!  The coloring pages are due by the same day as the BIBPC photos are, so you could post both of them at once. 😉 Read about it on the post HERE!
