I recently went out to the garden to take some pictures of the gorgeous zinnias we planted, but I decided to take pictures of the other ripening produce as well.First of all, the green beans. I’m not a huge green bean enthusiast, although canned green beans can taste pretty good. The rows of green beans look kind of pretty and I took some pictures of their small white blossoms as well.
I took the most Zinnia pictures. I don’t really like how they always have some wrinkled petals and ours that we grow are never very finished looking, but I do love their bright colors.
The tomatoes have really interesting blossoms. I like the smell of tomatoes, and I love tomato sandwiches. 😀
These next few pictures are cucumbers or zucchini. I didn’t know which leaves were which, so I just combined the two. And I suppose I’ll continue my garden reviews – I don’t really love cucumbers or zucchini, but they aren’t bad. I like pickles and zucchini relish!
Mom planted some marigolds in between the peppers and tomatoes, but they haven’t bloomed yet. I think marigolds are pretty and really unique, but I like taller flowers. 🙂
We have some volunteer dill in our asparagus/strawberry patch. I like dill because it looks kind of flowery.
I was just thinking about how we hadn’t found any black swallowtail caterpillars on our dill this year yet when I saw this chubby guy on a dill stalk nearby. (He’s now in a chrysalis in a jar in our kitchen.)
I hope you enjoyed this veggie/flower review and photography post. 🙂
