A Bumper Crop of Buttercups (Sisters Photoshoot)

Hello everyone!

It’s been a bit since my last post, hasn’t it? 🙂 Welp, I’m back now, at least for today, because I have something to post: another sister’s photoshoot!

As you may have gathered from the title, this photoshoot features a ton of buttercups. We actually did this shoot in Dad’s wheat field, but you can’t really tell it’s wheat because it’s still green and the buttercups are what you mainly see.

It was such a fun setting and very YELLOW so that made me happy. 🙂 And now that I have written a proper introduction, let’s get right into the photos!

We did a small session in the evening, but the light didn’t last very long so we didn’t get many photos.

I have yet to figure out how to edit photos like this so that people’s faces aren’t gray… but it’s still a pretty photo even if my face is ashen. XD

I like this angle. 🙂

We came back two days later right after breakfast to get some photos in the morning light. We also brought my yellow chair, which looked quite pale against the sunny buttercups, and a floppy hat.

I look a bit odd in this pose. But look at all the yellow!!

These first few pictures were really painful because I was facing the sun and my morning eyes weren’t liking the vast amounts of light. But the picture turned out less squinty than I thought it would be!

Next we abandoned the chair and took some photos in the tire tracks that ran through the field. They were actually quite helpful and made for a nice “prop” if you can call it that.

I love this angle! We were quite glad when the sun came out and there was a pretty blue background for the yellow buttercups.

And then I tried to do the classic feet in the air pose AND IT DID NOT WORK WELL. See for yourself.

It’s the new version of bunny ears! 😀

After that we wandered off the path and took a few more photos with buttercup bouquets.

I look like I have magical buttercup powers. Or else I can levitate things. But don’t worry, I actually can’t. 😉

That’s all for me! 🙂 Now on to the pictures I took of Allison.

I quite like this photo! I wish the telephone poles weren’t in the background though.

Allison had more successful buttercup-confetti photos. I really like how they turned out!

I love this one too!

She decided to demonstrate her double-jointedness in her elbows. XD

And to wrap it up, two more chair pictures.

Yay! I loved doing that photoshoot, and I hope you enjoyed seeing the result. 🙂 Also, I’m going to use one of these pictures to update my about profile photo (since the other one is like two years old) so which photo do you think I should use for it? Preferably one of me, and not Allison. That would be the least confusing.

Alrighty, have a wonderful rest of your Friday! I’m off to make cashew chicken. We’ll see how it goes…

what’s your favorite color for flowers?

do you like cashews?

  1. SO FUN! I LOVE ALL THE PHOTOS!! The one of you sitting criss-cross in the tractor path is super cute!! 😀 I think that would make a great profile picture! AND YES CASHEWS!! 😀

  2. AHHH MEGAN I LOVE THESE AND I ESPECIALLY LOVE YOUR SHIRT! Where did you get it? (Also editing won’t really do much for ashen faces, but you can totally shoot to avoid shadowed/ashen faces!) I’m not sure which would be the best for your profile pic! But these two are my favorites (of you, that is 😉 ):

    1. AHH ARIA THANKS! Well there’s this place called Walmart up here, and they have some clothes and some of them are pretty nice! It’s pretty high end. *nods* XD Anyway yep, it’s just a good ol’ Walmart shirt. 😀 Oh, okay! Do reflectors help with that?
      Thanks so much! 😀

      1. Pffft. *snorts* I looked online and I couldn’t find it, though! I’ll have to check out ours because I really like it. Reflectors can help, but I generally just up the exposure and shade the lens! I rarely use reflectors nowadays.

  3. You and your sister are such beautiful young ladies!! ❤ The flowers are so beautiful and the outside setting is lovely. 😊 I’d say my favorite color for flowers are between yellow and pink. Cashews are so good!
