Hello everyone!
Today I have a post on a very exciting topic. This past Thursday I got to meet a pen pal and blogging friend who I’ve known for several years but never met! If you want to see her blog, click HERE.
Anyway, a couple weeks ago she messaged Allison and I (Allison is also her pen pal/blogging friend) and said that she was going to be in our area and wondered if it would work for us to get together! AND IT DID!
At long last, at about 9:00 pm, they drove in and we finally got to meet her! After hugging and exclaiming we went inside and ate watermelon and talked for another hour and a half about various topics, a lot of which was discussing different pronunciations. XD Then they went over to our little guest house for the night.
I didn’t get any pictures of when we first met her, but I did get some the next day!
We started the morning by showing them the pets and garden and such, and then we all loaded into our Mule (off-road golf cart of sorts) to give them a tour of the farm.

Charis, Allison, and I stood on the back where we tried to avoid all the branches and various other obstacles.

We made our way down to the creek and waded through it for a little while. I don’t have super great photos here, but you can sort of tell what’s happening. 🙂

We found a nice little spot with both sand and stones and proceeded to skip rocks. Jeff attemped to skip very large rocks, which didn’t usually turn out that well. He did get a few to work though!

Their little sister was quite happy to be at the “beach” as she called it. 🙂

We even built a sandcastle out of the creek sand. It was quite beautiful with a jawbone “smile” found by Charis’ brother, and several rocks for eyes and other decorations.

After we had built our sandcastle we headed back for lunch, which we ate on the trampoline. For dessert we had popsicles. And took pictures, of course! 😉

We also made sure to get some pictures on the steps of our smokehouse, like we did when we got to meet another blogger friend last year. We’ve decided it should become a tradition. 🙂

Finally, we taught them a game called Psychiatrist and we played that for a little while longer until they had to leave. 😦 But we had a great time! It was SO fun and hope they can come back soon!!
A few more things before I go. One, Allison will be posting about this soon too with more photos, so you should check her blog soon and read that. Two, SBG starts tomorrow! So sign up now! And finally, K.A. has a birthday not this Monday but the next, so be sure and tell her happy early birthday in her SBG post tomorrow or hop on over to her blog on her birthday and leave a comment.
I think that covers everything! Thanks for reading, I hope you have a good day!
favorite popsicle flavor?
have you ever ridden on a Mule-type vehicle?

OH MY GOODNESS. I still can’t believe this happened. Thank you all so much for such an amazing time! I had so much fun with all of you, and I hope we get to visit again sometime! 😀
