Everyone, meet Eeyore! My very own donkey! Yes, she’s a girl and I still named her Eeyore. XD
I AM AMAZED. I ACTUALLY HAVE A DONKEY! ISN’T IT SUPERB?
She’s not at all friendly yet, but I hope to get her there soon without receiving too many kicks. XD Anybody have donkey tips?

When I saw this post in my inbox I started squealing inside because MEGAN FINALLY HAS A DONKEY!!! CONGRATS!! If I had a donkey I would name it Puzzle, like the donkey from The Chronicles of Narnia. 🙂
Since a donkey is basically a type of horse (or equine), you should treat her like a small horse. You definitely don’t want her to try and dominate you or anyone else because that could get dangerous, so I would suggest putting her in a halter on a lunge-line and doing ground work with her. That should help get her to join your “herd” and accept you as the boss.
I have thought about doing a post on ground-work with horses and getting them to respect humans, would a post on that be helpful to you? (I’m not trying to ask a rhetorical question here, I’m really curious)
