The Camera That Shot Me

(Title credits to my cousin.)

Yesterday afternoon I wanted Allison to take a picture of me for my about page that I’m revamping, and Allison wanted me to take pictures of her for… something. Anyway, I had a lot of fun using Allison’s dSLR (anyone want to give me a dSLR?). She also took a few pictures of me after the about pictures, so I’ll have those here too.

First up, here are the possibilities for my about page photo. I’m trying to decide which I like best.

When I took pictures of Allison we first went up to the bank barn and took some pictures by the bales. These four were taken while Allison was adjusting the settings on her camera.

After those pictures we migrated down to the cotton barn. We brought some zinnias and The Mysterious Benedict Society (or rather, The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict with the dust jacket of the MBS) as props. We go a few photos of my hair flying around, and I got quite dizzy from shaking my head so violently. XD

We had to go eat supper after this, so when we went back out in the evening it had gotten darker. But we still got a few good pictures. 🙂

  1. I love these photos! So cool. For my ‘about’ pictures, etc., I usually just suddenly have a photo idea and then I have to convince my younger sister to help me (by taking the pictures), and so sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t; it depends on whether she’s in the mood to help or not. 🙂

  2. Hi your sister put me onto you, and I as wondering if you could help me create a blog button? I have some ideas but couldn’t quite make the photo bucket image and my blog talk/link. Let me know.

  3. Sorry I forgot to say that your photo shoot looked fun – I liked the one with you and the rabbit near your laptop or you holding the camera – you know watching me watching you type of thing. X

      4. Yep!i have no clue where it I should. You certainly can, but I don’t know if we’ll have the record player set up. We also have a skillet record, which I’m sure you’d love to hear. It is pretty funny when it’s sped up though.
