Q&A

En quoi tout le monde ?

A few days ago I had my blogiversary (I’ve been blogging for two years!) and I asked you all to ask me some questions. You did, and now I’m here with the answers. Fun fun!Lily asked…

1. Have you ever eaten white chocolate ice cream with pistachio chunks in it?
No… I haven’t but it sounds REALLY good!

2. Are you allergic to anything?
Well, besides poison ivy and some certain kind of medicine, no.

3. Do you like to wear sunglasses (weird, I know)?
Well,  I might, but I have glasses so I can’t really.

4. What’s your favorite sport?
CAPTURE THE FLAG! Oh, and Ga-Ga ball on trampolines! Okay, those aren’t real sports I guess. :/ Swimming maybe? Or perhaps soccer.

Maples!

5. What is your favorite day in May?
Well, it will probably be when we get done building nests for our huge chicken houses. 😛 Hopefully sometime next week!

An apple slice.

Have you ever eaten Nutella on spaghetti? (😛 )
Yep! It’s good. 😉

Have you ever dyed your hair?
Nope. I haven’t. 🙂

What is one of the worst cooking/baking flops you ever had?
Oh. That. XD Okay, get ready for a long story…

 One lovely day, I decided to make up a cookie recipe. I flipped to a cookie page in a cookbook, and looked over the necessities. Baking powder, flour, sugar, salt…. I started with some flour. Then, in went the rest of the ingredients. I added some cocoa powder, and a bit of peanut butter. Why is this so dry? I thought. I knew most cookies didn’t need milk or water… aha! Butter! I melted some butter and added that to my mixture. It still was dry though, so I added some milk. I thought coconut might be good in it too, so in that went!  At last, it looked about right. I dribbled in some vanilla and set to making balls out of the dough. Finally, they were in the oven. Now I just had to wait. Ten minutes finally passed, and I pulled the pan out of the oven. I touched them carefully; after they cooled, I took a tiny bite. Eck! They were dry and crumbly, and tasted too much like butter. Well, I thought, at least they don’t have eggs in so if I didn’t bake them enough, they’ll be fine to eat. Wait a second… eggs! Duh! I forgot the eggs. Well, they actually didn’t seem to be to baked. Maybe I could crumble them back into the mixer and add an egg! So that’s what I did. As I re-made the cookie balls, egg white began to seep out of the cookies. I guess they hadn’t really soaked it up. I had gotten this far though; I wasn’t going to give up now! I put them back in the oven again, and went back to waiting. At last, they were done! I opened the door to see my cookies, still a little damp-looking and sizzling in… egg? What? The egg white was all over the cookie sheet, and had a greenish tint to it. I was rather disgusted with them. Now, these poor cookies are probably sitting in the dump, regretfully wishing their maker had remembered the egg.
Do you have cows on your farm?
Yep! My dad’s cousin owns them, but we have somewhere around 400 cows and calves I think.

C. asked…

1. Favorite doll brand?
I think American Girl looks the most realistic.

2. Have you ever been to sleepaway camp?
Nope. 🙂

3. Frozen or Tangled?
Well, right now I’d rather watch Tangled. I’ve watched Frozen so many times and I’m pretty tired of it. 😛

4. On the subject of those two movies, have you ever seen their short film sequels?
I’ve seen Frozen Fever, but no Tangled film sequels.

5. What’s the weirdest ice cream flavor you’ve ever had?
Up in Bar Harbor, Maine there was a flavor called I Can’t Decide Yet. 😛 That might be the weirdest one.
~~~~~~~~~~
Clara asked…
1. What was the first thing you ever made with clay?
A sculpture of Lily, our rabbit, only I didn’t make her very realistic. She was too skinny.
2. Do you have any photography tips? I love how you always have cool angles in your photos!😀
Yes, angles. Don’t just document something, get up close or get different angles! Example:
Versus…
3. If you could have a pet lion or a pet bear, which one would you choose? xD
I’d like a pet buffalo the best, but if that’s not an option, then a pet lion. 😀
4. What is your earliest memory?
I remember thinking that everyone had a million dollars, and when I asked dad and he said he didn’t, I was quite confused. I also remember I had a dream that Amelia Bedelia was playing jump rope with some girls in our bathroom when I was five or six. XD
5. What is the first blog you ever read? (Besides your own.😛 )
My mom’s!
6. Where did you get the AMAZING text on your header?
Oh! Yeah, that’s cool, isn’t it? I got it from 1001freefonts.com. You can download it HERE.
7. Have you ever made a movie with your siblings? (You should!😀 )
I have! Once my older sister wrote a 17 minute-long script, and we acted it out with our friends. It might not have been the best movie ever, but it was really fun. XD
8. What are you wearing right now?
A green and white striped shirt and jean shorts.
9. What is your opinion on Pusheen?
He is SO cute and wiggly and squishy. 😛
10. What is the first word you can think of that starts with Y?
You. Yep, that was boring.
K.A. asked…
If you came to our house, would you rather see our (real, I might add) unicorn, or our one legged chicken????😀
Wait… explain please. XD I’d want to see the unicorn… but HOW? 😛
Have you ever broken a bone?
Nope! But a pitchfork has gone through my foot. Ow.
What about your brothers or sisters? Have they broken a bone?😕
No. 😉
August maybe, because that’s my birthday month… but maybe June, because that’s the start of summer vacation and pools. 🙂
The Mysterious Benedict Society for SURE.
What are your favorite things to do in the summer?
    Really?! *Checks map* Hey, according to our colored in trip map in the schoolroom, we’ve only been to 38 states. Humph. XD
    I love TobyMac and The Mysterious Benedict Society too!
    P. S. I would be super impressed with Josie’s and your French if I didn’t know that you don’t know it THAT well to not look it up. 😉 Mwahahaha! XD
  4. Yay for Q&A! 41 states is a lot! Ever been to Hawaii or Alaska? Fox is the Conservative news network; CNN is liberal media. 😉 Oh, you can’t like Maples better than Pines! Pine trees are so peaceful, and I love their needles. That baking flop story was pretty funny! 😀 Have you learned your lesson? XD And that pitchfork going through one’s foot sounds unbelievably disgusting. 😛
    1. Yep!! Yeah, I know. Nope, just the ‘mainland’ part of the country. 😉 And two Canadian provinces. 😀 Oh. Fox then!
      I can! Maples are so huge and majestic and shady, plus they are great for climbing and are beautiful in the fall. Their leaves are gorgeous in the spring when they just start to come out. Also, you can’t get maple syrup from Pine trees, can you?
      Hehe! Thanks. 😛 Well, I learned that I need eggs, but I think I’ll try again sometime. 😉
      Yep, and it was mighty painful. But I did learn how to hop on one foot very well. 😛
  5. I really enjoyed reading your answers to all the questions! 🙂
    I’ve never heard of the Mysterious Benedict Society. What’s it about?
    And I love to swim in the summer too! Hopefully we will be able to open our pool soon. Remember how I told you that we have tadpoles in our pool cover? Well, they’re all still there, waiting for a new home……XP
    I don’t watch YouTube much either. There are a lot of interesting videos on YouTube, but it kind of is a time sucker. I do like watching Blimey Cow, videos, though. Have you ever heard of them?
    I don’t like mice much either. Sometimes mice get in our ceiling, and at night the run around over our heads when we’re trying to sleep! It’s pretty gross.
  6. Hehe this was really fun to read! 😀 My brother’s and I made a short movie once. I think it was a mystery movie, and we used our nerf guns a LOT in it. 😛 It was so fun. Can’t wait for part 2! 😀
  7. Ooh, I bet going to Canada was fun!
    Well, the one Maple we have is definitely NOT good for climbing, (it’s still too small) and we have a pine tree that’s great for climbing! So that’s why I like Pine trees. 😉 And no, I suppose you can’t get syrup from pines. But You can make pine needle tea from the needles!
    CutePolarBear
    Like
      1. Pine needle tea is just tea made with pine needles. Like, you know how tea is made from leaves? Well, since pine needles are the leaves of a pine tree, it works. I’ve never tried it, though. XD
    How to you use 1001 Free Fonts? Because I found a font I’ve been looking for for a while, but I’m not sure how to use it.
    Like
    1. Yup. 😛 Haha!
      Well, you just download the font and when it downloads, click open. This will open the downloads folder in your library. Then click on the square that has a capital A and a folded down corner on and click ‘install’. I hope it works!
