The Adventures of Inchy B {Part 10}

Inchy B tried to get Itchy to remember her, but nothing worked. She yelled her name and poked her slightly (she noticed that she was much harder than she used to be). Then a lovely inchworm inched up to them.

“Hello! I’m Primrose Sparklehoof.”  She said proudly.

“But, you don’t have hooves.” Inchy B looked at her, hard.

A handsome white worm crawled up to Inchy B.

“Just call her Katelynn. She is a uniworm, the first ever made as far as we know. But excuse me, that was no introduction. How are you, fair maiden? I am Albert Shnucsommos, the albino worm, but you can just call me Albert or Albert S,” he said, flashing her a smile.

“Hello Albert,” Inchy B said shyly.

“Anyway, what seems to be the matter with the polka dot worm?”

“She doesn’t know who I am, Inchy mourned, “she’s too frightened, and she’s getting dry…” All of the sudden Inchy B had a thought of inspiration. She remembered what Itchy had said long ago: “Darlin’,” Itchy had said, “Have you noticed that I’m a little tough and hard? It’s because I don’t have Creative Juices. I just don’t.”

Inchy B flew up to the top of the Bake and yelled in a very loud voice, “WORMS AND FELLOW CLAY THINGS!! MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION?”

Everyone turned to stare at her, and she flew down to the ark so she wouldn’t have to shout as much.

“YOUR CREATIVE JUICES ARE FLOWING OUT RAPIDLY. THIS IS BECAUSE YOU ARE SCARED. STAY CALM, I REPEAT, STAY. CALM.”

But her wonderful speech had no effect on the clay worms, and the uniworm started screaming and saying that she had spent five hundred dollars on their creative juices and that there was no way she would just let that five hundred dollars go to the Bake. Inchy B sighed in despair.

“May I make a suggestion, miss?”

Inchy B turned and saw that Albert S had come up to the ark.

“Would some music soothe their nerves?” he asked politely, pulling out a boom box from… somewhere or other.

“That’s brilliant!” Inchy B cried.

And so they had a…
