Photography Tip, Hayley’s ATC Trade, and a Very Strange Cat

Aloha everyone!

Where do you put all your tiny things you want to post about? In a post like this! πŸ˜€ Let’s get started….

#1: The Photography Tip

Isn’t it SO frustrating when your camera won’t focus? I found out a way to get your camera to focus on really small things, like tiny flowers and such. All you have to do is put you hand or finger down at the level the flower is at, focus your camera, and while it’s still focused quickly take your hand away and snap the picture. This give the camera something bigger to focus on, but since your hand is near the same spot as the flower, it also focusses on the flower.

#2: Hayley’s ATC Trade!

Guys. You should really check this out!Β  ATC trade {{ Details / RulesΒ }}Β  << Just click that. Hayley is doing an artist trading card swap where you can email her photos of your ATCs (which are SO much fun to make, even if you aren’t very much of an aritist) and then, after following all the directions which you can see in her post, you can get ATCs from other bloggers without telling the whole world your address! πŸ˜€ I really suggest checking it out. πŸ™‚

#3: The Very Strange Cat

Jinx doesn’t drink water like a normal cat, no, he must have it in special ways. He used to only drink it from a running faucet (unless we were away, then he’d give into a bowl of water), but now he has extended to the fish tank. He stares at the fish and then starts lapping the water as if he can drink up all the water and get to the fish. What a strange cat, huh?

That’s all I think! Thanks for reading. πŸ™‚

  2. Oh! I’ll have to try out that focusing trick. My camera NEVER likes to focus on close-up things. It’s very aggravating sometimes.

      1. I have a SONY Cyber-Shot. I like to think it’s a pretty good camera, but it’s not really fancy.

      2. Okay. πŸ™‚ If it has a tulip anywhere on it, you might be able to press that and turn macro on so it takes better close ups, but you probably already figured that out. πŸ™‚

      3. Yes, it does, and yes, I have figured that out. πŸ˜› I usually don’t see the difference, especially since my normal setting is automatic, so I can usually take semi-close-up photos with it. It’s just really close-up photos that I have a hard time with.

  3. This is a great tip!! My camera always decides to be annoying and never focus on things–so I sure will be using your tip in the future xD. And thank you so much for sharing about my trade!! I hope more people join in!! πŸ˜€
