Hello!
For this post I am going to section the pictures into days. Except for the last four or so days on which I didn’t take pictures.
Day 1
The first day about an hour down the road we heard a big “POP!” Can you guess? Yep, our tire had popped. Thankfully it was the tire on our RV trailer so we could go get the parts to fix it in our car. That probably delayed us about an hour but I did get the chance to take some pictures of beautiful sweet pea flowers growing by the road.
Then we traveled some more until we got to Mt. Airy, Andy Griffith’s hometown. We were a little disappointed because we thought the Andy Griffith Show was filmed there, but it was actually filmed in Hollywood. 😦 But we still had a fun time.
There was a place called Opie’s Candy Store that had old fashioned candy buckets and such. We didn’t get any thing but it was interesting!
The courthouse looks more realistic in black and white.
Then Allison and I shared a delicious but humongous banana split.
I quit about here. That was one filling banana split!
At out campground there was mini golf so we played that. I came in fourth. But I did get two hole-in-ones!
Day 2
The second day we got to Caesar and BoBo’s house (well, the kittens cats didn’t own the house). They hadn’t changed much as you can see.
At their farm (no, not the cats) we saw this crop. Can anybody guess what lies underneath the green plant? No? Well, I guess I’ll have to tell you. It’s peanuts. Probably some people already knew that, but it was still amazing to me! I used to think peanuts grew above the ground!
We also found this gigantic toad.
Caesar wasn’t too impressed with Mr. Toad.
Day 3
Almost all of the pictures on day four are the ones I took on a river tour.
Gators! This was the first time I had seen a alligator except at a show our fair had once.
I saw a manatee! I saw a manatee! Although it looked just like a gray blob.
I forget what kind of bird this is. I think his name starts with an “a”.
These flowers were brilliant red. Not at all like they are in the photo.
I rubbed glow-stick juice on my hand!
Day 4
Last day for pictures. And the only pictures I have to show you are of a toad and a tree frog.
So! Those were the pictures I have to show you! Hope you enjoyed!
